Before I made a decision about attending the ELP, I thought about it as a good opportunity for my life and another possibility to learn a second language. At the beginning, everything was exciting and new.  My lifestyle changed and again I went back to a university to meet new people and new teachers. I remember my first day at the ELP. I didn´t know anything about English; however, I saw other students like me, in the same position with no English but  happy faces.  

 The ELP staff welcomed us with a big smile and a warm greeting, and right after that, they showed us the best way to achieve our goals. I never thought about having so many friends from different countries and cultures. It was necessary to communicate and to try to understand what others were saying.  I didn’t understand what my friends were saying to me at the beginning, but as the days went by, my teachers made their best effort to teach me how to learn English and communicate. I have to recognize these teachers who have patience and passion for teaching English. Each new day in the classroom was exiting and interesting, not only grammar, listening, and vocabulary, but my classmates and teachers became my new family until everybody started to know more about me.

You are not just a student; you are a close friend in this big family called the ELP. I believe that everybody should try this experience in the ELP because it is not only learning to live in the USA, it is how to learn English, meet new people from around the world, and gain new amazing experiences and valuable moments.

This experience is the best so far in my life, and I will remember every moment in the ELP.  Learning English is a plus because you can communicate with other people, become bilingual and more competitive when seeking a job. This is very important for anybody's career since when you learn English, you have more opportunities to find a better job.  I will remember the ELP, my teachers, the staff, classmates and director for all my life.
